Montegabbione's Tower

Every time i discover something new about montegabbione's story, a new fragment, i always feel a deep emotion. I started my search years ago and since then, growing up, I learned that such emotions are a very intense feeling, spreading all around, contagious, a bit like a yawn. It often happened to me to see people to get deeply touched seeing a photo, an object, a book, a letter a piece of the past, of their past, a fragment full of story, of names. Of lives, ready to be red to be again alive. That's why i decided to start this project, with the hope to communicate my own enthusiasm and love for our past, to discover it again with a growing desire to know our story, that is to know ourselves a little better. .

"One fine morning in August of last year, the diligence of the Cittą della Pieve led me to Piegaro, where I took the horse for Montegabbione, castle located on the crest of a high hill that raises the Val di Chiana, and from which you can see a myriad of countries, cities, like the lens of a landscape. The most extensive horizon is extended from east to west with a beautiful gradation of color from dark green to more ethereal blue, the phenomenon is produced by the different distances that are placed the mountains, the horizon, drawing an irregular line formed by the Viterbo's mountain, Monte Amiata, the Cetona's mountain and the most far montains that have a gradient for the distance and nothing more. The imagination as the view takes in a world too long, and is not satisfied to create new images. Solitude, silence increasingly contribute to making a pleasant stay for a few hours to enjoy the scenic view of nature in the party.."
